"Honda type R"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

My coil unit caused misfire, when slowing down, phoned my dealer, was replaced straight away at no charge.

Dealer informed me of rust, at bottom of radiator, again was replaced at no charge.

Have only replaced all brake disc's, this year and pads, very good.

General comments?

Still own the car, and still drives like new, has been fantastic, most of my driving was on motor ways, and have never been let down.

Still enjoy driving my saxo, think it still great for its age.

Sill on its same battery, great.

Not Quite a Honda type R, 100 bhp more and you will be there.

I know VTR owners always over rate their performance, But Type-R, don't take the piss!

Why are all these people blagger, they seem to think because they overtake a mclaren f1 with a lady driving with her kid driving slow, that they were racing, pathetic citroen owner.

Erm listen, my boyfriend has a Civic Type R and we've raced plenty of times. My VTR keeps up with him UP TO 70MPH and he was RAGGING it too... So all you people bitching out there about the VTR I think you maybe need to drive one. It's not our fault that you all have micras and are jealous. Hahaha! And if you think I'm making this up then console yourself with that fact, but I'm not.

Oh. And it's not 0-60 in 10.9 seconds or 12 seconds or whatever. Mine does it in 8.6. And I'm pretty sure that an induction kit doesn't make it perform THAT much better.

So for your vtr to keep up with a civic type r up to 70mph that would mean you would have the same 0-60 time of about 6.8 seconds... so erm I'm afraid you don't!

The vts which is faster than a vtr can't get anywhere near that time so your livin in a dream world if you think it can.

P.s. I own a honda integra type r and I used to own a saxo vtr... light years apart on performance. get a grip girly.

No, micras and such are slow. VTR'S and VTS's are pretty quick. All saxo's have decent performance for their engine size. I bought my VTR as I wanted somthing cheap and easy on fuel. Well along with that I got decent looks and surprising performance. Sorry, but a top speed of 120mph for such a small car is not slow.

I doubt half the time they are trying. Perhaps you just need to keep assuring yourself you are faster.

Yea its funny when I'm at the lights in my VTR. It has a 4" exhaust so when I pull away normally it sounds like I'm trying to race, except I'm not. And then the car next to you shoots of and then sometimes they are laughing at you. Ever thought that some Saxo drivers arn't stupid boy racers. They just happen to like the car?

If you're not a boy racer, then why put on your stupid 4" exhaust?
