The only issues we have had with this car is battery related. We are still using the original spark plugs. The plug wires have been replaced (65k).
We did have problems with the factory brakes as they warped about every 20,000 to 25,000 miles. Warranty covered
3 of the pad changes. Since I went to a different brake pad, no problems @ 95k.
Great performance. Easy highway get-on.
0 to 60 in no time. Last trip we ran between 60 and 85 mph and averaged 30 mpg. I was not surprised. You can drive this car 55 or 85 and still get 30 mpg.
Must use cruise control or you will be going 90 in no time. The front end does
get "loose" at just over 115 mph. Never
been able to peg the speedometer due to
my concern about the front end lifting
up. My wife loves this car.
I have the same problem with Brakes, ti seems that every 15,000 to 20,000 the rotors get warped and it vibrates when you apply brake at high speed. What kind of Pads did you install?
I have not had the problems with the brakes or such, but we never got the gas mileage that was advertised. I was disappointed in the gas mileage since that was one of the reasons I chose it over the newer 3.5 engine.
The only problems we ran into was that the door rubbers kept slipping making the doors stick at times and any time the exterior was damaged it was extremely expensive to repair.
Totally agree with the need for cruise control to keep from getting a ticket. I loved the car otherwise.
