"The best line of vans on the road!!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Never had a problem!

NOTHING!!!

General comments?

This is the strongest most dependable van on the road!

This van is equipped with 4 wheel drive and a 4.3l EFI Vortec V6 engine. I live in a fairly snowy cold climate in the winter. This van has gone through snow drifts that were up to 6 feet high and has never been stuck in the snow, mud or sand. The van has never let me down, it has always started on the first turn of the key. Well that Chevrolet kicks Ford in the butt six ways from Sunday!!!

I don,t have much use for Ford either, but I would appreciate an honest review to help me make a smart buy on a used van. I'm sure you have had it into a shop for something. And every bit of info helps.

I bought a 1993 with 150000 and was not sure I made a good buy. But now with over 180000 without any costly repairs, I am sure I did the right thing. As a matter of fact I just bought another one today!

We also love our 1993 Astro Van (all wheel drive), but the past 3 weeks my husband can't figure out what's wrong with it. It won't start when it is cold. He has hooked it up to a computer and it shows no codes. He's replaced spark plugs and wires, checked the fuel pump, replaced temperature sensor, replaced air idle control motor. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know.

I love my 1993 Astro van so much. I have no problems with it. I have been with this van since I was a little girl. I'm 17 now and the van is 10 years old. It was my mom's van, but I was getting my license and needed something to drive and I was not going to drive anything, but the Astro. We used to tow a huge travel trailer with our Astro. And I tell you we towed the trailer up steep, long hills, in the middle of summer with the air conditioning on max, and this was a 6 hour drive. Plus we had the whole family along, not light people either. And still with the hell that Astro has been through, that van still acts like it's brand spanking new. I love Astro's so much that I'm wanting to have two of them. GO ASTRO

I Purchased a 1998 Gmc Safari Van (Astro Van Brother) and it has served me well. I am a disc jockey and it is so easy to load and unload my DJ equipment. The van never let me down and I awarded it with Chrome Rims and Running boards, along with a nice stereo system. The only thing I hate is that it gets not so good gas mialage, but for a 4.3 I won't complain as opposed to the fords 5.7 V8 that get bad mialage. I also installed the tornado fuel saver to it and seen a small difference in mialege. The part number was KI-80. I will change the spark plugs next, but overall this van is a great one, wouldn't change it for the world.
