Back differential bust, replaced with a more recent Cherokee back axle which is also a little bigger.
Fan clutch went, replaced with an electric fan which has also unladen some weight off the engine.
Power steering resorvoir cracked, leaving me without oil.
Minor vacuum leaks, solved easily.
Headliner is dropping, will replace it soon "do it yourself".
Air con leaks a little condensation inside, this happens to new jeeps to and doesn't really bother me.
The minor oil spot on the floor, which any car this age would do.
I really like this car, not too bothered about it's little faults which any old car would have. it drives smoothly, isn't too expensive, quite comfortable and gives you that feeling of driving something serious, safe and strong. very good for its age.
Wow you are very patient, if in just 9000KMS of owning a vehicle all that occurred to me I would be looking to bail on that truck. I have a 92 limited myself 4.0L AWD 4x4 309000KMS on the clock, so far so good I love it drives great. Coming from a back round of a Japanese vehicle driving family I must say I'm impressed by the feeling of my Jeep, very solid and secure! I'm still sceptical and still not trusting of American brands despite the Toyota transmission. I've had the Jeep 2 weeks, flawless up till now except while I was shifting from full time 4WD to 2WD the horn went off and didn't stop until I pressed the horn button. I hope that is not an indication whats to come, mysterious electrical problems. Definitely a classic vehicle of a different era. Nice truck.
