The ride continues to have excessive vibration at 65-70 miles per hour. Two front tires were worn bald on the outer rims prior to reaching 20,000 miles. It appeared to me to have a defect in the frame and steering mechanism. I have been going to the dealer for over two years to fix the vibration, but until recently they told me that I had not had the tires rotated or I had hit a bum in the road. In other words, it was my fault. I purchased a new front tire and made them purchase the second front tire. The car continued to vibrate after the purchase of the two new front tires and a new alignment.
After I kicked up a fuss the dealer recently put 4 new Michelin tires on at their expense. We are now testing the car to see if this alleviates the problem. If this does not solve the problem, I have asked to be included in the buy back program.
The dealer wants to sell me a new 2004 Deville, but I am not sure that I want to deal with GM cars anymore. The car has a pretty color and a great style, but it is performance that I need. This was my first cadillac. My previous cars were GM, but did not have this problem. Do you have suggestions?
Cadillac may have the high tech luxury, but Lincoln has the old fashion luxury try the lincoln town car if you buy one brand new you get 12,000 miles/12 months complimentary service. Very nice cars indeed.
Hi.
I recommend not to buy one of the current Deville models because as of fall this year (2005), GM will be bringing out the new models, which while they are basically just the same powertrain, and overall look, they have incorporated some of the new Cadillac look, and have a much better interior, as well as it will be quieter, and supposedly smoother.
