In 4 years and 6 months of ownership:
replaced brakes.
Replaced tires.
Replaced driver side keypad.
The car is a pleasure to drive and has been virtually maintenance free.
I just noticed that in your review you stated that your Taurus had a 2.0L Duratec engine, I was currently unaware that that Ford offered a 4cyl Duratec in the Taurus. I also noticed that your previous vehicle was a Ford Sunfire, I was also unaware that Ford produced the Sunfire. I am moreso concerned about the 2.0L Duratec engine as a powerplant in a Ford Taurus. Was this a typo regarding the 24v DOHC 3.0L powerplant? or do they actually offer 2.0L powerplants in the Taurus in that model year?
The 2000 Ford Taurus comes with a 3.0L OHV V6 on the standard models and a 3.0L DOHC V6 for the step up. Just to clarify.
And if your interested the OHV V6 is rated for 155Hp and 185 Torque
the DOHC V6 is 200 both ways.
Cheers.
