"Rotten Eggs" odor occasionally ever since we got it.
Drivers side seat back starting to fray.
Car is very quick from a standing start.
Handles very well.
Seats and seat positions (6-way) are very comfortable.
Will this become a collector's item since it is no longer manufactured?
The rotten egg smell is most likely the catalytic converter
as for being a collectors item...NO.
Lots of cars end production and are not of any desire.
I purchased my 1998 Millenia S in mid-2001 at 45,000 miles. Now in 2008 I'm just over 125,000 miles, so I haven't done a lot of driving. Car is a collector's item to me, and I will keep it until it doesn 't work anymore. It is shaped and looks similar to a Jaguar, - its lines are classic and still look sleek and attractive. Car is expensive to keep up, - and eats gas. But is powerful and handles smoothly and is quiet inside. Had to replace worn steering wheel (leather) and (worn) auto shift knob after close to 10 years. Put in a custom stereo system by Speakers Works in Orange, - fabulous sounding, - such upgrade cost $5,000+, - worth every penny when stopped or slowed in heavy traffic. Irvine, CA resident. Car runs best at 80 miles per hour, - marvelous on the freeway.
