"It's great without the headaches that come with it"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

When I first purchased the car it was great, then the next week after the sensor light had to be fixed. A week after that the front ball joints had to be replaced and greased.

Then the car was fine until about a month later when I brought the car in to have the linkage belt replaced and three hoses under the vehicle. Everything went wrong about four months after that.

My ABS light keeps staying on constantly and I can be driving and everything is fine, and all of a sudden out of nowhere, the car will rev up high in between the 5 and 6 on my RPM gauge, and the car will start jolting as if I'm braking when really I'm not. After it does that, I cannot get past 60 miles per hour and I have to pull over and let the car sit for a while until I'm able to drive it again.

I took the car to a mechanic - they told me that my transmission was fine and that they don't see the problem, but yet they know that the car does what it does when the car is heated.

I also had ran some fuel injector cleaner through the gas tank and the car seemed fine for a few days, then started acting up again the same way. If anyone has information as to why my vehicle is doing what it's doing, could you please email me at doinlines@aol.com thank you!

General comments?

I love this car, it is awesome the way it looks and it is very comfortable. I only need to find out why it's doing what it's doing.

That sounds like my cirrus. It was great when I first got it. Then the brake light will come on and the pedal was as hard as a rock. They told me it was the ABS. They removed the computer and I hadn't had a problem since. I had this done after the third occurence I had to use a fence to slow the car down otherwise I would have hit a jeep that I was closing in on. The only damage I sustained on the car was the passenger mirror. As for the tranny I would check that on a regular basis especially the lines they are steel with rubber hoses on the ends. You should think about installing an auxillary transmission cooler.

I have been reading a lot about these cars since we bought ours. It seems to that you should have the distributor checked out and also the whole switch pack inside the transmission changed the distributor costs about 250 to 400 depends on where you buy it from, shop around for it also this motor is a mitsubishi not chrysler! I have read that people are having these same problums with this same car and every year good luck with yours I just spent 875 dollers on mine today just buying parts to fix the same problums everyone else is having find a good shop you can trust and are not affraid to ask questions when they don't know themselves again good luck!!!11.
