To start with I have had 3 valves replaced to find out that it was not that they should have replaced, but a wire connecting the valve to the engine management computer under warranty.
Then I have had to have a full new gear box due to it not working right from when I bought it also done under warranty.
My temp gage on the dashboard ceased to work so I had to have another one fitted.
My back box on the exhaust had to be replaced also.
Recently though I have come out of warranty by one month, and so far I have had a new clutch and it is going back in for some more work due to lack of power through my recently replaced plugs.
If the car had been more reliable and not in the garage as much, I would have thought more about getting a newer version possibly or another deawoo model.
Yes, it is quite amazing how faults seem to be discovered just when the warranty has run out! By the way, don't take out the extended warranty - it would appear that it doesn't really cover anything and it's expensive.
Hi, please could you elaborate on which valve you needed to have replaced? I presume you mean idle control valve or something.. only my sister has a matiz 800cc version which is plagued by a misfire, I've changed everything except the ECU so far to no avail!!
Replaced the Idle control valve, and the throttle position sensor, replaced the fuel injectors, spark plugs, leads, distributor, distributor cap and rotor arm... the list goes on! It has a spark on all 3 cylinders, and also power to all 3 injectors, but only firing on one cylinder!
Almost at my wits end really, if you or anyone else can throw up any suggestions then please contact me on rserrant@hotmail.com.
Id be extremely grateful!! Cheers!!
