I overheated the car (not knowing) and it did not shut off until I got home. It takes me home no matter what.
It has been sitting for about a year now and the transmission seal is gone.
When this car reaches 70 or higher it floats. It runs so smooth you can't even feel that the car is running.
The transmision seal will leak on most cars, but once you start to drive it it should seal itself again. I own a 1974 impala and had the same problem. thought you should know.
