1998 Isuzu Rodeo from North America - Comments

"I would never own another one."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Head gasket blew at 80000 and seized engine.

New engine head gasket blew at 30000 due too bad thermostat.

Noise under passenger side dashboard, that no one can find.

Gas gauge won't go to full.

Spark plugs keep fouling out.

General comments?

This truck is very roomy when you have kids.

Parts are very expensive and are only available at the dealer.

Motor is not powerfull enough for such a large truck.

Repair manual not available after 7 years.

The factory Isuzu repair manuals have always been available, and they're the best ones to get. Skip Chilton & even Haynes. I've gotten two sets off Ebay for less than $50 a set.

If you're looking to spend $8.00 or less on a manual, you'll only get substandard information.

I buy a factory manual for every car I purchase (Mazdas, Toyotas, Isuzu, etc.) and have never regretted it. It'll save you the cost of the manual the first time you use it.

No complaints!

Bought my 1998 Rodeo in May 1998. Nine years and 135,000 miles later, I have nothing to complain about. Routine maintenance at the local car shop for <$1,000/yr., oil, gas and all is fine. I hope to have it another 9 years and 130,000 miles.
