1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z from North America - Comments

"I love this car and will never sell it."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I replaced the clutch at 263,000 kms. The next was the steering rack at 275,000 kms.

General comments?

This car is very fast for a four cylinder weighing in at 2800 lbs. It has four wheel disk brakes and larger anti-roll bar up front. This car doe's handle like it's on rails. This is a fully loaded car with leather and t-tops and is very comfortable on long trips.

Hey

I have a 1988 Daytona Shelby Z also and I love it

The only thing is that the guy I bought the car from had the head gasket replaced when it went out so while racing the car we have blown radiator hoses, shot the block heater out the back of the motor and somehow blow a power steering hose due to the head not being re-torqued after the gasket put in

the 2.5 head is supposed to breathe a lot better than the 2.2 head so I'm going to put the 2.5 in

if you have any other simple and inexpensive way to make the car go could you please email me at

silverdragon180@hotmail.com

i was also wondering if you have that specs on the 89 or newer daytona with a 2.5 motor and turbo 1 setup (no inter cooler)

Thanks

ECG.
