I drove my trusty RX-7 for nine years and 167,000 miles before retiring it. I bought it used for $2500 and spent less than $2000 in maintenance over that time (besides gas and insurance). Without a doubt, it is the least expensive vehicle that I have owned in my 45 years of driving.

I replaced it with a 1995 Subaru SVX LSi that I suspect will perform as admirably over the next nine years.
