Airbags never went off in accident.

I had an accident recently and I was hit from side on which caused my car to be rolled.

I was very shocked to find that neither of my airbags went off.

I loved my car, that was the only disappointment.

Front airbags are only designed to deploy in an frontal impact (usually over 25Km/h) The airbags didn't deploy because the sensor didn't detect an accident. Please note that if you had side airbags and they didn't deploy, then that's a problem (a nasty one at that) You may also read in forums that front airbags have deployed in a side impact, that is because of the older sensors used (detects rapid stopping) Another reason for frontal airbags not deploying in a side impact is they may be more of a problem then a help.

This car makes cranky noises in low gear. It fits even more than 6 passengers (probably because people in my family are very thin) It makes fast acceleration at high gears. I once entered this car in a raly race and came first! Thanks to the acceleration. Daihatsu Sirion is well performanced.
