"MG meets BMW a match made in Heaven?"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing at all was wrong with the Mondeo I had 3 before the MG.I enjoyed all the Ford cars and the dealers before learning about the MG ZT +

I only wish I could take the car to US and pay$2 per gallon and drive this low suspension road hugging motor over there!

General comments?

I wanted a sports car before I lost my hair. I bought a ZT 190+ from Preston as a xmas present to myself the SGL dealership were briliant.

I have my hair I can cargo my kids in style nobody wants to go on trips in my wife's brand new Volvo S40!!

My insurance for such a beast £420 from E Sure. The car is a tad thisty, but it is performance.

You are so right, pity MG didn't take a leaf out of BMW's book and learn how to make a proper car, nevermind, MG Rover have a headgasket problem, but you might be lucky yet!

Even though some may escape MG Rover's head gasket problem nobody escapes their astronomical rate of depreciation. Buy a BMW, it works out cheaper in the end.

These car are designed by bmw, so they're built rock solid, don't understand why people say these headgasket are weak as they're used in rover 800 and they rock solid.

The engine used in this was re-designed from that used in the rover 800 so the head gasket failure rate is much lower, many believe that the rover 75/ MG ZT is in fact a revised 5 -series chasis designed for comfort instead of handling.

Unlike HONDA who only wanted rover to put rover badges on cheap honda's, BMW instead effectively gave rover the opportunity to build there 'own' car.

The 75/zt was designed & engineered by ROVER. Not BMW. a common mistake. Just like the misconception that Rover were still using Honda engines. Honda lumps have not been used in MG-rovers for the last 10 years!

With BMW on side, & money no object, it was ROVER & the UK that created a great car that is the 75/zt, not BMW.

The kv6 in the zt/75 is excellent. no HGF here. (just ignorance)

An excellent car & The ZT190 being faster than an ST200, as standard, & more more powerful too.

Excuse me people, but the 2.5 V6 as found in these and the Rover 75 are a BMW engine and are rock solid. The car is also basically a 5 series BMW with Rover badges, I know because I built the things! Now stop knocking MG.
