"A Luxury bargain in the used SUV category"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

As I have only had the vehicle about a month, nothing major has gone wrong. I bought it from an older gentleman who was meticulous in the car of the vehicle. The only problem that I have found is that the controls for the side view mirrors did not control the mirrors. I took apart the switch and found that a wire was loose. This is understandable in a 10 year old vehicle. The one complaint about the cockpit portion of the vehicle is that there is not a safety on the rear glass. The switch to unlatch it is just below the lighter and is easily hit by mistake which will allow the rear glass to open at any time.

General comments?

The handling of the vehicle has been great. It was bought to be driven on the beach and handles the task in an excellent fashion. No need to lower tire pressures or stop to change in and out of 4 wheel drive. Which is good in inclement weather.

The rear window release button is a big problem for me to. The print on the button has worn off and people riding in the passenger seat often push it just as they say "whats this for", causing me to mutter things I can't mention here, pull to the side of the road, walk around the vehicle and slam the window closed.

I have a 92 Bravada and my rear window opening button won't pop the window when the vehicle is in drive only time it works is in Park or turned off so I don't know why yours is different.

There is a relay under the dash on the right side of the steering colume that controls when you can open the rear window. It is kinda small and has three wires. Try to replace this.
