"A little street fighter.!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

- replaced brake pads-$200

- replaced CV joints

-replaced carburetor base plate-$125

-replaced thermostat-$195

-replaced all the exhaust system-$340

-replaced alternator at 98.000 miles

-replaced spark plugs/cables

-inoperative horn.

General comments?

Overall, this vehicle isn't good at all. You don't want to buy a car that is sitting in a mechanic's garage most of the time. Do not spend your hard-earned cash on this lemon.Don't buy it. It will save you grief in the long run!

This car is seriously underpowered.

Therefore, it really doesn't go faster than 50 miles/per hour.

It has starting problems in the winter time and the engine stalls when you shift from Reverse into Drive.

The interior is crude plastic and there is also a very cheap radio.

The exterior of the car looks like a box and the paint is very poor quality.

The seats are very uncomfortable because of the high seating position.

This was the worst car I ever owned.

I'd also like to add the following:

-speedometer stopped working

-the motor fan also stopped working

-this car had a leaking gas problem from the fuel filter

-thermostat failed at 97.000 miles

-the power steering pump was damaged

-most of the time, the motor wasn't running on 4 cylinders

-difficult times opening the doors in the winter time

-the paint will come off when washing this car

-it couldn't go faster then 50-55 miles per/hours.

-tiny wheels

-the interior had vibration problems

-a serious underpowered engine

-in the winter time, I was driving this car to school with a blanket wrapped around my body, gloves, and a hat.

-the transmission was a crap such as, slipping problems, noises.

You called this thing a "little street fighter" but your entire review is complaining about all the problems you have had with it.

Do you mean it was fighting with you?

I have a Pontiac Lemans 1.6 automatic (1989) I had the same problem, the car didn't pass the 50-55 mph, but I fixed it easily replacing the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) just $17.00. The location of this sensor is on the right side of the carburetor, when you stand in front on the engine.
