Chevy Trailblazer 2002,
1) brushing arms went early mileage
2) taillights
3) permanent grind at rear
4) total replacement of 4 wheel drive
5) rear wiper works half the time
6) transmission gone!
Shame on you GM for charging customer a fortune for a vehicle which you would hope would get you somewhere, this is the second GM vehicle I've had, to which the transmission went, tsk tsk tsk.
The grinding at your "rear end", LOL, is your anti slip axle's fluid degrading. You need to drain and refill the axle fluid and do it FAST. Make sure you refill with a High-Quality Synthetic (as the factory calls for), and an anti-slip additive. I had the same problem with my 2002 Envoy and changed my fluid myself- very easy to do.
