I paid $500 for this old Van off of a farmer in Southern Alberta. Most of the problems that it has had came with it,
abuse and poor maintenance, are the cause of most of this vehicles problems.
This vehicle had been sitting for about 2 years prior, and I drove it away.
I too have a 1982 Chevy G20 van. I'm having some transmission problems. I too just bought mine for $500. I'm needing advice on the transmission--I'm a novice. Please contact me at: jddubya@hotmail.com The transmission was working perfectly until yesterday. I think it's squirting trans fluid out of the dipstick tube. I can't find the breather for the transmission. This van too has sat up for nearly 3 years. I know it's going to take a bit to get it back up, but I think the transmission issue I'm having is minor... I just can't find why fluid is coming out of the dipstick tube. Thanks for any help.
