No faults so far.
After 4500 miles the engine had used some oil. It had dropped from the top line on the dipstick to the bottom line. Dealer topped the oil level up and told me the amount of oil used would drop as mileage increased. By 8500 miles the oil level had dropped again. Dealer topped it up, it would appear to be getting better.
Diesel engine economy OK. Worst 41mpg. Best 50mpg.
Comfort is great.
Performance is statisfactory. Overtaking is easy, cruise at 100mph doing 3000rpm.
Loading carrying fantastic. Handling OK when empty and when full.
I am about to purchase the saloon version 2.2cdti accord and am wondering whether the oil consumption that you decribe might be an issue, are there others owners out there noting the same problem or is it the fact that new engines tend to use more oil until the bores have smoothed out?
I have got a problem with my Euro where the glove box light can be seen (gap in the glove box lid) in the back seat when travelling at night. Do you guys have the same problem?
