2004 Hyundai Coupe GLS with sunroof and all from United Arab Emirates - Comments

"Superb performance and style for little money!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Absolutely nothing. The drivers power window can stick occasionally, but I think that's due to the 50 degrees celcius temperatures that occur frequently here in Dubai. The car runs very sweetly.

General comments?

Great running car - smooth and powerful.

I used to own from new the mark 1 coupe. I bought this in 1999. The general quality of the 2004 model is much improved.

The car sticks to the road like glue and handles very well on pavement.

I love the aluminium finish on the instrument panel - gives the car an expensive feel.

The backlighting of the dials and instrument panel is lovely in red.

The cloth interior is a huge improvemnt on older models. The seats are comfortable and really hold you in place when you corner hard, but I wouldn't fancy taking a long road trip in the car - you could end up with a few aches and pains!

I have the automatic with the optional shiftronic gearbox. Its great to slip it into a high gear then let rip with the accelerator!

I have the silver paint and the finish is excellent. hyundai have worked hard on improving the quality of finish on their cars in general.

I love the new styling of the car especially the gill-like air vents behind the front wheels arches. makes it look like whats it is meant to resemble - a shark!

I own a 03 reg 1.6fx coupe, after 16000 miles the engine has had to be rebuilt under warranty due to piston shrinkage. is this a common problem.

I own a 2004 2ltr se, and have problems with the sunroof sticking. This problem is occuring on a weekly basis and I now have to take it to the dealer to get it reset.
