If you want a slow car that will pretty much run forever, this is the car for you. As long as you can stand all of the little quirks and problems it WILL run forever. It just won't run like you want it to.

I regret buying this car and plan on selling it sometime soon. The only thing I have really enjoyed about it is the gas mileage. Thankfully, the car has atleast held its value well so I can sell it for almost what I paid for it.

I have a 99 Honda Civic EX and I don't have any of the problems with any rattles of any kind. Yes the car is a bit slow, but mines an automatic, but it's not too bad.

I have an automatic as well, I have not had any of the problems you have, but one thing I do agree with you on is yes the back panel does rattle a lot.
