My car back fired on me twice already.
I've needed new spark plugs and wires.
Tune up.
Rear shocks.
Air conditioning compressor.
I just bought this car about 2 months ago. So far its been a disaster! It's a gorgeous car though, with beautiful leather interior, power everything and heated seats.
Luckily the dealership, with some convincing, helped pay for the problems that I have so far encountered. Even at that it was expensive to fix though.
Now the problem with my car is that it has a hard time starting. Any suggestions would be great. I thought the tune-up would have solved it, but it seemed to have gotten worse. I've even put additives to my gasoline, but so far it has done nothing to help start my car.
Your starting problem may have something to do with the problem with nylon fuel line fuel rail tubing. I, too, am having a starting problem and have stopped driving the car because of the fuel leak. GM screwed 1995 owners by excluding them from the recall ( (GM RECALL #04V-110) - see NHTSA website for more info.
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THE FUEL LINE LEAK? WAS IT COVERED UNDER THE Warranty?
I have a 95 Aurora and just got a letter in the mail for reimbursement for the fuel rail. Did you get that?
My '95 Aurora has had several small problems, but most to be expected with over 100K miles. It had a hard time starting, with stumbling at 45 MPH, and was told after a couple of trips to the dealer that the fuel injectors were to blame. 7 of 8 were bad. Had all replaced and have not had the problem again. I have not been made aware of the recall, but will check with my dealer today. Overall, I love the car, but it is pricey to maintain. Exhaust is next on my list! By the way, these things warp rotors like few others. Fortunately my brother does these for me!
My car has not had any problems with injectors, but it has had problems with fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pumps, even when you put factory GM ones in do not seem to hold pressure. Normally the pumps and regulators are a cause more than the injectors. Yes mt recall on the fuel lines was totally covered and no cost to me.
I got a 97 Aurora. I did get the notice and have the fuel rail replaced without cost at dealer.
My Aurora has been great until the recent coolant leak. The radiator has been replaced, but still leaks about one gallon per 1000 miles. Any comment on it. Thanks.
The car needs a new fuel pressure regulator. Having a malfunction fuel pressure regulator prevents the car from starting.
