"worth it"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

None.

General comments?

I just purchased this car for my wife and was surprised just how good the car is.

The first week the ride was a bit stiff but after a couple hundred miles the suspension seemed to break in.

When my wife went to look at a BMW. The salesman told her that a BMW was a Man's car. He pointed across the street to the Jaguar dealer and said that Jaguars are a better car for A woman. Needless to say my wife took his advice.

The Jag was on sale with 5000 dollars off the sticker price. The dealer took another 1000 off the price so how could we pass that up.

The Jaguar has a different feel than any of the other cars we looked at. The shift knob does not have a button to hold down when you take it out of park. The trunk is huge for a car of it's size. The ride is firm but not hard. It just feels special.

So far we are only getting about 18 miles to the gallon but that is all city driving.

I read some of the reviews of older X cars and I think Jaguar made changes that solved most of these problems.

I don't see why a BMW dealer would tell a lady that a BMW was a "man's car" when my mother had no problem whatsoever driving my 5-speed 3-series on a trip. Also, my dad drives a Jaguar and nobody would dare tell him that it's a "lady's car." The truth is, both Jaguar and BMW are fine brands that I consider unisex. I'm not embarrassed to be seen in the Jag, and my mom and sister adore my BMW, and they can both drive the hell out of it.
