1957 Chevrolet Two Ten 210 from North America - Comments

"A masterpiece!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Had to replace a battery cable.

General comments?

This was my first car.

If only Detroit still made them like this.

This car would run forever, it is like Toyotas in my opinion today.

It was extremely well built, a good looker and steady on the road.

It's auto trans had reverse on the end of the shift (P-N-D-L-R).

Dashboard was well designed and the glove box was in the middle of the dash where it belongs.

Oh to go back in time to when cars were a work of art.

If GM had any sense, they would build brand new '57 Bel Airs with the old, antiquated, high compression dual quad 283 engines. I had a lot of fun with mine in my youth!

If GM ever built the car the above commentor wants, they would only sell a few thousand a year and would have to price it at $40K-$50K. They tried something similar a few years ago--remember the SSR?

Which, btw, there are NO reviews of on this site--not even made-up ones!

I remember finding these used under $500...one Delray missing an engine and trans for only $75 in the mid seventies. And a 1955 2 door for $400 if you could have only kept them all. However, I do not see this being reproduced...1964 up musclecars I see more likely and in fact have. 1955 and 1957 are very beautiful however.
