"Service Engine Soon" light showed up now after 70,000+ miles. I learned from this web site that there could be three reasons for this. To fix this problem I have done the following steps:
1) I made sure that the fuel cap is tighlty closed and there is no air in the gas tank. Drove the car for a while, but it didn't help.
2) I tried to reset the computer system by unplugging the battery's positive & negativ terminals altenatively for about 10 minutes. But all in vain.
3) Now I think I am left with no choice other than to see someone specializes in it. But for sure I won't go to Nissan Dealers as they are going to rip me off to fix it.
I need suggestion from someone that what else can I do in this regard to get it fixed.
Having a check engine light come on is a common occurance for modern cars. Could just be a cracked vacuum hose or faulty oxygen sensor.
If you want a modern car fixed right, your best choice is a servicing dealer who specializes in the make.
