ANYWHERE FINALLY ENDED UP AT RADIO SHACK! Never
ANY PROBLEM WITH POWER TOP.
MY WIFE HOWEVER HATED THIS CAR DIDN'T UNDERSTAND.
I sold to buy a nice 1969 SS Camaro 4 speed otherwise I would be having super regrets!
I bought a 64 Biscayne new for $ 1,500 and a 59 Biscayne in trade. The 64 was a base 2 door sedan with an in line 6 with a 3 speed manual column shift. In it days, with black wall tires, small hubcaps, and no radio, it shouted cheap. However, today, that car would look great if it were around.
We never had much problem with the car mechanically, but the car rusted away like a old tin can. I remember big holes in the front quarter panels when the car was less than 2 years old. By the time I sold it in 1972 with 64,000 miles, the whole car was rotted away.
Survivors of this vintage must be few and far between, as are original owners.
