Good reliable family car with a touch of speed and luxury, but dated.
3rd gear is the best gear for acceleration (power band at 4500 rpm)
When braking from over 70 mph it is a good idea to start braking very very early as the standard brakes give you no confidence and will not stop you quickly.
Insurance too high, could get a MR2 or Celica for same quote.
Have your camshaft oil feeder checked. It may be blocked causing the cams to squeak due to poor lubrication.
I hope you got that problem sorted. It's true what the other poster says, in that if it is your camshaft creating the noise, you need to act on it quickly to avoid further (very damaging) wear. Tell us how you got on when you get the problem fixed.
