I have had the same problem love, it must be with all Protons, they really are negativeons... My boot is like a fishbowl because it has a tone of water in it from the stupid back hatch window seals... crap cars.
I purchased a Proton Waja 1.6 Manual in Nov 2003 and last Sept 2004 as the car clocked 9000 km, the clutch and pressure plate had worn out. The manufacturer repaired it, but I had to pay for it as I was told that it was my error in driving with my leg on the clutch. I have been driving for the last 18 years and my previous car is with me for the last 9.5 years without any change on the clutch plate.
Last week my car met with an accident because the car jammed on the road. I wonder whether it is the service center error. Of course without checking they claimed that it was not their fault again, but it was mine.
