O2 sensor (at 75,000 miles).
AC/heater fan needs work.
Electrical short (recall).
Although I've heard many horror stories, it's no Lexus, but I love mine and it's been great to me. I and my wife have been wise to take very good care of it, and it's been very reliable as a result.
I guess they were still being very careful at the factory when they built mine (mine was built in April 1994).
Yeah, after reading all the negative comments about Neons I've come to believe the early ones are the best. Mine was made in March '94, and after 7 years I've had no major problems (just routine break work and that pesky O2 sensor). True, the radio sometimes stops working and the tailights fill with water, but compared to the nightmares I had with my '89 VW Golf (the worst car I've ever owned--and that includes a Chevette!), these are niggles.
We have a 95 Dodge Neon (made in March of 94) and it has over 200,000 miles on it and has had a ton of problems, but I blame that on the crooked mechanic that worked on it for about 2 years. After we "fired" that mechanic there's been nothing wrong with her.
