When I apply the gas from a stop, there is a disturbing joilt coming from the rear end or bottom of the truck. It does it when I come to a complete stop and also it does it when I am in 4x4. I have no idea what it is.
Checked the suspension, u joints, drive terrain, even replaced the shocks.
Cannot find the problem, I hope it isn't something small that is going to result in something big.
Truck gets up and goes.
4x4 is awesome
radio sounds like crap.
Somewhat easy to work on.
ok gas mileage.
A remedy for the sudden jolt problem is to replace the steel drive shaft with Ford's new 4" aluminum, being used on all modern Rangers.
It's the tail gate strap.
I Have a 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 power everthing cruse control everthing you could think of in a little truck I just bought it, but I love it. I used to drive a 1988 ford broncoII there is a big difference It drives good, gas mileage is hard on me, but I manage I would tell anyone to buy one because it is great.
Does anyone know the best tires to put under a 99 ranger. I want some aggressive tires, but I don't want the moaning noise. I was thinking about brigestone dulers. If you know a better tire let me know.
THANKS.
I have 1999 ranger had jolt noise on take off and hard stop was repaired at ford drive shaft was not slideing in and out of transmission was dry grease only need grease replaced transm. mont for nothing.
