Original 305 was plagued with electrical problems. The idle air sensor didn't get enough juice.
The electric fan didn't turn on automatically, thus I overheated when not running.
Cosmetics such as rear hatch motor quit on me.
Takes about 20 minutes to raise passenger side window.
I once lost a race with a cobra...
Now I have to wait and see how the brand new 383 crate engine is gonna behave, bring on all the fords...
Now for the good stuff. The car always got me where I was going, fast. Never had an oil leak. Good gas mileage, all things considered. The paint job is great, all leather interior looks sweet with the t-tops down. The 4,000 watt sound system is the cherry on top. I recently upgraded from my friendly 305 (great little engine it will be missed a little at least) to a monster 383 crate engine and a drag racing automatic all controlled by a custom tuned hyper-tech performance chip, now instead of 15 second 1/4 miles, I can run them in 11's thanks to 520 Chevrolet bred ponies. I'm still looking for that cobra that left me eating nasty ford dust back when I was running the 170 hp 305... You might say it's not an original Camaro anymore, but nobody complained about Pamela Anderson's upgrades! I love my RS and the 383, and fiberglass hood scoop only add to my baby's beauty...
That's what I'm talking about, kill those pesky cobras I drive an RS 305, supercharger blower, the whole nine yards, I only got about 370- 390 horses, but I pull in a decent 13.3 quarter mile, bring your car down to LACR in Palmdale theres this guy with a viper running 12's that needs to be taught a lesson... good luck with the new engine, and pamela anderson looks real good with all her upgrades bro.. Fords SUCK!!!
Yeah " Ford's suck" but you had to put "the whole nine yards" into your Camaro to get within 20 HP of a STOCK Cobra Mustang. Hmmmm... DOH!!!
