Paint started to peel on the front bumper. That happened within one month.
The check engine light came on after 1500 miles. The dealer said they would look at it, but to no avail.
C.V. joints went out after 15000 miles. The dealer said they would not be responsible for them. Come to find out it is not covered under there power train warranty.
Engine light still on after 30000 miles. Found out it was a sensor somewhere around the gas cap, that was emitting fumes.
The transmission went out after 60000 miles.
At 65000 miles the car was burning oil.
This car never averaged 40 mpg as advertised. This car can last in the hands
of someone with a less aggresive driving style. For example, your grandmother. By the way, this car uses 20w50 motor oil. That is the same viscosity and weight as race weight oil. Most 4 cylinder motors use 5w30 or sometimes lower. This car company uses it because they are trying to boast a 100000 mile power train warranty. But in the end all they have done is use cheap bearings, increase the tolerances between the bearings and add excessive oil pressure between seals and gaskets. This is what most people do to worn out engines with to much play between the bearings, not new engines with tighter tolerances. But this is just one example of their ethics
Yeah I had the same problem with my bumber, the paints peeling off...
