Speed sensitive power steering
Annoying vibration when transmission shifts into 3rd gear at about 55Km/Hr.
Performance of the 6 cyl is adequate. Panel fit and overall quality is poor. I've owned 4 Holden Statemans and this would be the worst for the money. I will not be buying another.
I have to disagree with your review. The reason you are having problems with your car is because you bought it with too many kms on the clock. How dare you dis the statesman, just becasue you have had a bad one. The statesman is an amazing vehicle with excellent comfort marks and reliability. Of course after 100,000kms its going to have it's fault. You have probably not looked after it properly that's why it's un reliable.
I currentley own a WH statesman and will never change it.
I am so pleased with it, it will never be sold until I am carried out in a box!
To the person who put in the last post. I too had a bad Statesman and I'll dare to criticise as much as I want when I'm paying that much money. That is the problem with Australians, they are willing to accept substandard service an quality, but then again better not upset poor old Holden with our problems with their products.
I love my WH Statesman to death. It has 96000kms on the clock at the moment and is a great car to drive. That said, it has had its share of minor problems, which the dealer has happily rectified under my used car warranty. I will definitely buy another Statesman... or Caprice... or possibly a grange...!!
