"Poor"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Shaking on front end dealer balanced front tires said it was a manufactures mistake. It's a bit better, but still small vibration. Front windshield making buzzing noise dealer found a service bulletin and repaired it, but a week later still making noise after about 90km/hr. Heater motor 5th speed not working they forgot to fix it on my last visit, said for me to make a new appointment to repair it. Side panels and windows rattling and leaking air noise dealer says it normal. Adjusted and replaced all weather stripping on all doors as per service bulletin. When filling gas tank the gas pump stops filling when it suppose to be full and I really have only half a tank of gas dealer tells me not to put the nozzle fully in to install it about half. vibration from frount speakers dealer says to turn down the base is set to high.

General comments?

Nice looking van rides fairly well good fuel millage. I made a big mistake I should of tryed other models before I bought it. Maybe KIA! If I have this many problems at 6000km what about 60,000km I will trade before I think I wasted $30,000 what a scam.

We've owned a 2002 Montana since new has over 120000km on it now. Pretty much flawless except a wiper motor died. And that has been it for problems. I run the engine hard and race with it here and there. Eating hondas for breakfest with it. These are solid vehicles. If you think yours is a ripoff, but a Ford Taurus. Biggest POS ever created, we baby the Taurus since buying it and it just keeps falling apart. Lets see warped rotors, replaced heater core, replaced HeadGasket, replaced oil pan gasket, replaced power steer pump, replace rear axle, Replaced CV joints, most of the suspension other than the struts. This is all within 100000km. And now it's burning oil too. Now this is a ripoff car, not the montana. GMC usually designs most of their cars good, not including Caveliers/Sunfires especially Z24/GT models.

You're lucky you didn't buy a Kia. The Sedona is a low dollar poor quality vehicle. I own a 2002 Sedona and in hind sight, wished I bought something else, ANYTHING else! The amount of warranty and non-warranty repairs done on this vehicle is staggering.

I've decided to trade this worthless pile of junk on a new Montana. Trust me, there are no comparisons, the Sedona is not worth your time or money. People buy Kia's for the warranty and believe me, you'll need it. GM, Ford & Chrysler products are much better than Kia. At least they retain some level of value when it's time to trade. One more thing, my local Kia dealer is inept to the point of total incompetence. No professionalism, or integrity. You get what you pay for in more ways than you think.

Enough said about Kia. I'm looking forward to owning my new SV6. I feel much more at ease now knowing that should something go wrong, a reputable GM dealership will at least be there without shamelessly trying to take advantage of you. There's more to a vehicle than the vehicle itself.

So before you decide to bash GM, Ford or Chrysler, think about the whole picture. Toyota and Honda make excellent vans with good resale values, but they're expensive to buy. I think the Montana SV6 is a good value for the money. It's sporty, comfortable, reliable and backed by GM. Need I say more.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Montana with over 94,000 km's. So far it has been a dream to own. No problems with the van or the dealer. I do all highway driving (Work related) and find the van the best rolling office one could have. The only thing I need is a new set of tires. I replaced the 4" fog lights with 4" "Hella" driving lights, what a big difference. Looking forward to buying it out after the lease is up.
