I am 15 and am going to start driving as my first car, our 1980 GMC Sierra 15. My father blew the motor when he forgot to change the oil. We replaced the previous motor, a 350, which had a low 40 thousand miles on it, and replaced it with a 350 H/O motor. I am in the process of restoring it. We had a Line-X spray-in bed liner put in. Repowercoated the wheels, front bumper, and brush-gaurd. We had it repainted its origional color. The next thing to fix is the subspenion, engine bay, frame, and the under-side of the bed, for all of these have extensive rust.
In my opinion, I would have to say the best thing about the GMC Sierra 15 is quality it was built at, and the worse is the lack of a factory under-coating.
