"Great 1st car easy to drive and learn in you should own one!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Stupid things i. e door light switch $5 and fuel sender $20.

Front left wheel locks up in the wet :s.

General comments?

Excellent car good performance figures for a car of its age (73kw @ 5,200rpm 157nm @ 3,200rpm) nice comfortable easy to drive don't need power steering in a car like this not major rattles with high end stereo systems.

Easy car to learn to drive in excellent all round!

needs air conditioning and a left mirror and split fold rear seats!

It is so surprising that the Toyota Corona is such a reliable car that it will last you for so many hundred kms if you look after it well. My car (a 1986 Toyota Corona S) has done more than 272,000kms and it is incredibly reliable!

The replacement parts for the Corona are so cheap and that's why I like the part where you wrote 'stupid things'. I have had to buy a oil dip stick because it broke ($10), a replacement radiator tank ($40) after the previous owner blew the head gasket off completely! What else, a second hand alternator ($30) and a radiator cap (previous one was so RUSTED) for $7.

All in all a good car with no serious expensive costs incurred! :)
