General comments?

This 164S is and was the car of my dreams, having owned 6 Alfas and a fiat in my driving experince I am very pleased to own this beautiful S.

Yes when I got it, there was some work to be done and some kinks to sort out, they all need something, but.. A factory rebuilt motor and immaculate service history were reasons alone to buy this car. It so happens that the close ratio five speed, electronic leveling system and leather recaros are all in perfect order. 140,000 miles and running like a dream. I love Alfa Romeo cars, and really hope to see them back in North America. That however is another story.

Happy driving.

I once read a quote in Automobile magazine that said, “You admire German cars and fall in love with Italian cars”. I have to agree, I am on my third Alfa a 1993 164L with 5 speed and I just love the way it drives, smells, looks and all the complements I get are great. Although I just spent $1300 to get it all sorted (water pump, brakes, hoses, etc) I am so happy to have it back. I miss my Milano (75) but find my 164 so much more sophisticated and mature. I am looking for the right 164 S then my L may go to my father.
