Nothing that would have occured under normal treatment.
We bought the car for use as a off-roading farm vehical and have driven it about 60 miles. It has taken some serious abuse, but will not give up on us. It has serious off-roading capabilities when it comes to slippy conditions and refues to get stuck.
We have tried on many occasions to finish her off, but have not been succesful to this point. We will list all the things we have tried over the last few months.
1. Taken on by-ways up embankments at serious angles.
2. Slammed the radiator into the engine when hitting a pot-hole in the ground. Front end crushed.
3. Put into a ditch on its side.
4. Smashed repeatadly into metal barriers from all angles crushing the bodywork.
5. Taken across muddy farm fields, along very rough farm tracks in all conditions. Never gets stuck
Will keep trying, but just won't stop.
For all you that think we are joking
this is serious and really shows how well made these cars are.
I was going to say that if you want to go off roading, you should have bought something like a Landrover or a Fourtrak.
However, no vehicle is designed to withstand treatment such as you have meted out to your Nissan.
A most entertaining review, thanks!
To the first comment made. Er... yes they can! I suggest you test your car out as we did and I'am confident that you will have similar results. Our Micra is so light that it won't get stuck and everything we've rammed it into just makes dents and has not caused any major internal damage. We can get about 50mph when green laning where as a landrover would not. Landrovers are also boring and more expensive. We bought this one lady owner car for £50. It would be still going now, but the clutch has recently gone so we decided to rev the engine to the point that something blew up. We still believe that with a new clutch this thing would go again. R.I.P Micra.

The treatment that this little car put up with demonstrates AMAZING build quality and reliability. We forgot to mention that we ran it without water in the radiator for 10 miles because the bottom hose was sliced off when we shunted the front end. Despite running at red hot temperatures for 15 minutes, the engine was still as sweet as a nut after we rectified the damage.
By the way, using a 4x4 would have been boring and unchallenging. The fact that we were piloting a two wheel drive hatch along tracks with ruts 2ft deep means that we had to think about what we were doing and use some skill.
If any readers of this comment are ever offered a Nissan Micra BUY IT!! It will treat you well and will be the best £60 you ever spent. Yes, that was what this one cost us and it had an MOT as well!
It might be worth you looking up the words "mechanical" and "sympathy" in a dictionary.
I find it difficult to believe someone actually enjoys treating perfectly good cars in this way.
Our use of the car represented an endurance test of the subject make and model. We demonstrated the excellent build quality of the vehicle. Please don't be so boring.

It might be worth the person who last posted look up the words "dull", "boring" and "fossil" in the dictonary.
All cars should be driven in this way. Who wants a life of just sitting around waiting to die. That car went out with a big smile on its face unlike any cars you've owned, which all have probably seized up through underuse.
What I suggest is you go take your car out for a baz n smash and when you've comeback with a smile on your face you will understand where were coming from.
I thought I would do a search on my new little 1988 Micra with 144000 km's... She has some rust on one side, but runs like a top... A set of new tires got rid of highway vibrations.. I am pleased to hear others believe in testing the limits of their automobiles. In the past week, I have taken this little Micra places I wouldn't have taken my Pathfinder. The car has an ability to get itself out of tough jams. I will be posting some footage of tonight's test drive on U tube... Even tonight, it seemed I had burned the clutch out because it was slipping, but once it cooled down it began working well again...It's been an amazing week with this car. Thank you for your posts.
