"Attention getting car from the 60,s real Americian Graffiti styling at a affordable price"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Generator, Starter motor, broken coil wire.

General comments?

Cost me $300 off a little old lady who had owned it for 17 years. Sold the car to my Dad who restored the Car to what it is today. I bought the car back from Dad in 1995.Paint colour is a light blue.

Excellent car to drive, turns a lot of heads as I nick name it the 'Baby Chev' because of its wrap around front and back windows which is special because the shape was only used by a few manufactures during the 50's and very early 60's.

I've seen the movie "American Graffiti" several times and I don't remember seeing any Vauxhalls in it!

Hey previous commenter, can't you read?? The reviewer says "Americian Graffiti 'styling' "... not that an F-series Vauxhall Victor was in American Graffiti. The same can be said for the FB and EK series of Holdens, they and the F-series Vauxhall Victors take their styling cues from the 1957 Chevy. And both the Holdens and F-series Victor look bloody great styling-wise!!! (knee-breaking dogleg pillars and all lol).

It would be nice to see pictures. I agree that the first Victor styling looked the best, it certainly reminds me of a 57 Chevy.

I would like to read a more detailed account of the car, I have a Victor FB.

Do the Victor F's suffer from chronic rust like the later ones?

Do a search on "VAUXHALL VICTOR CLUB" and look up the website and you will see Victors from 1957-61 and others too. (I am from NZ, but these pictures will give you an idea of style as I do not as yet have any pictures of mine on the web. Mine is light blue in colour.) The F Series was renound for rust probabaly worse than the later FB, that why there is few left now.

Hi all I am presently attempting to restore a series 2 F type Victor. And yes they were prone to rust especially the A pillars, floor pans, rear of the boot, sills and most other places. But hey they look great.

I have just put one Victor project (it is a late series 2 with the horizontal grill) on hold as it needs someone with more welding experience than I to fix the front chassis member.

The series 2 I am presently working on has rust issues also, although not terminal. But when I get the motor running I will tackle the rust. I also have two series 1 Victors in the paddock however these are only good for spares, but I had better be quick before the rust in to the ground.

I believe these classic cars of the late fifties are worthy of preservation, especially as there are so few good roadworthy examples around.
