1971 Chrysler New Yorker SDN from North America - Comments

"I wish I had the money to restore it!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Rusted brake lines when the car was 27 years old.

Body rust (car kept outside).

General comments?

I love the power seats, tilt & telescoping steering. Very roomy, large trunk space, and rides real smooth at high speeds (I never exceed the speed limit, of course) going straight.

Not good at sharp corners normally handled well by newer cars. Engine is original and runs beautifully.

You've got yourself a great car, I'm a big fan of the fuselage cars of 1969-73, they were one of my favorite cars Chrysler has ever made, I only wish that they weren't so hard to find, I bet that your car would be fun to drive with the 440 underneath the hood and I wish you best of luck for you to get your car restored.

I have a 1971 Chrysler New Yorker hard top. The interior is still brand new, some rust around the wheel wells and some dents on the door. 63000 original miles, everything is original except new brake lines and gas tank and fuel lines (carb was rebuilt at some point). I am second owner, first owner was a 72 y/o single woman when she bought it in 1971.

440 7.2 liter.

My e-mail atamas@advancedros.com.

Near Manhattan.
