Replaced whole exhaust system after purchasing car $160. Full tune-up at 288,000 miles. Speeding ticket believe it or not. Rocker panels rusted out need to fix. Replaced fuel-neck $15.
Mom failed to latch hood it flew off and broke windsheild on its way. Bought hood pins $5 autozone.
Fun car, top speed is 106 mph. Does not turn after 95mph. Thinking of changing timing belt. Great gas mile age, considering SPEED,40-45 mpg. Does not clime big steep hills to well, but fun going down.
You drive an unsafe little sled with over 300,000 miles at speeds over 95mph? And state "It doesn't turn?"
I'll tell you what it will do at those speeds crash and burn. And believe me, the Metro is so light and cheaply made,
you have virtually no protection in a low speed accident, let alone what you describe.
Maybe Mom was trying to sabotage the engine so you wouldn't kill yourself.
Since we haven't heard from the original reviewer, could it be that he reached at curve at speeds over 95mph?
Just wondering...
Well actually, I found out that it doesn't turn very well at 70mph either.
I should be out of traction in two or three months though.
