Bearings at 100K.
I had a bearing go.
But the car has 100+ km;s and runs very strong
the S/C gives good power at all speeds.
Very comfy
fast (about 0-60 in 6.5 seconds)
can be modded cheaply (but use a tranny cooler for sure)
very nice car.
I can get over the instant power from the S/C.
I assume you mean wheel bearings and not engine bearings. That 3.8L is just getting broken in at 100,000 miles, if you take care of it. I rented an '03 Grand Prix and loved it.
I have a 2001 Grand Prix GTP Sedan and both right and left front wheel bearings went at 68,000 miles a couple weeks ago and it wasn't cheap replacing at $800. Before the bearings went, a day before, I had to drive my car up a very steep, icy hill and my traction control was on the whole way going up. You could feel the car jerking hard to the right from the traction control working so hard. I wonder if the Traction control hurt my wheel bearings? Other than that, no problems. I love my car. It's my all time Favorite!
