"The new LaCrosse is a sleek, sporty, and great vehicle"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

This vehicle is new and just breaking in. There are no problems with this vehicle.

General comments?

The Buick LaCrosse CXL is a great addition to Buick. I'm 30 years old and it is very appealing to the younger crowd.

It handles well, has great pick-up on the highways, and has a great sporty look with the sun roof.

It's loaded with options from heated leather seats, rear assist back-up, and the great safety feature of OnStar.

The interior is extremely comfortable, and seats 3 children in the back and an adult in the front.

Thanks for your review.

Which Buick dealer do you work for?

This is not a review, it's a damn advert!

If this is a true review, all I can say is wait till you get a few miles on that Buick. I think your opinion will change.

Why?

- Buicks are some of the most reliable cars around. Just look at JDPowers initial and Long term ratings to see this.

Ohh and I don't work for a dealer although I agree that the original post sounded like an ad.

The LaCrosse is a much needed replacement for he Century and Regal. It has great looks and is based on the Chevrolet Impala platform which has proven pretty reliable!

You are right: Buick's have had great reliability records for quite some time. The Lacross looks sporty and somewhat European, even though it still resembles the rest of the Buick line.

I've owned my LaCrosse for about six weeks now, but have already logged over 7000 miles on it. My job keeps me on the road, and I have a chance to rent many different cars when I travel... Buicks have turned out to be my favorite. I've got to tell you though, this LaCrosse is probably the finest car I've driven (and I just got rid of a Mercedes that I've had for years). Just a fantastic, quite and powerful car... both my wife and I love it! My Dad has owned Buicks for years, and routinely puts 150,000 to 200,000 on a car before he trades it in... guess it was time for me to get one, too. Get one, you won't be dissapointed.

The Buick Is designed with the 3800 engine and although La Crosse is new the powertrain is well proven. I found the La Crosse very well designed. I like that unlike other Buick's, it does not scrape the bottom coming out of a drive way. I give the La Crosse an 8 wishing that heated leather seats were an option. Very Sporty and a great handler. Definitely a 30 to 45 yr old persons Buick.

To whomever wrote the above comment- Heated leather seats are in fact an option on the LaCrosse CXL & CXS models. They are not available on the CX. And yes, I agree that the LaCrosse is an excellent car. I have a bare bones CX (only option it has is a bench seat) and so far I love it.

I traded a 2004 Cadillac CTS in for the LaCrosse 4 days ago and dropped my payment by over $100 a month. I will admit the car is great with more options than the CTS for a price much less. Makes me wonder why I ever purchased the CTS in the first place.

I do recommend the vehicle for just about anyone. I am 30 years old and it truly competes with the CTS.

The remote start is one of the best features.

I have a 87 and a 93 Buick, Riviera and Park Avenue and both have the 3.8L engine. Both are fine vehicles. In fact, the 2004 Buick Regal received better reviews from Consumer Reports than did Toyota Camry or Honda Accord and the Wall Street Journal even did a story on this... the Lacrosse is the replacement for the Regal/Century and if you hate AMERICAN cars relax cause it is made by the UAW of CANADA in CANADA!

Wait till you see the Lucerne in fall 2005 and NO I don't work for any Buick dealer Co etc! Go Buick! Yes, I would really rather have a Buick!

My mom purchased a new LaCrosse CXL two months ago. I can generally agree with all the postings praising the car. However, the front buckets are causing back pain for everyone that tries to ride in them. The seats show no evidence of defect. The lumbar region pushes forward on the spine to, seemingly, simulate a cushion at your back. Most people would want this, yet no one in our immediate family or closer circle of friends is comfortable in the car. Does anyone else have this situation?

Just an interesting little bit of trivia regarding the LaCrosse. The name LaCrosse could not be used in Canada because in French the word LaCrosse is slang for "pleasuring one's self". So in Canada, the LaCrosse is called the Allure - same car, different name. I guess GM learned their lesson with the Nova (Spanish for "No go")

And yes, both the LaCrosse and the Allure are manufactured exclusively in Canada at the award winning Oshawa, Ontario plant by CAW (Canadian Autoworkers Union - not UAW of Canada as someone mentioned earlier - just an FYI). I am not connected to GM in any way.

Sleek, sporty, and great are 3 words that don't apply to ANY Buick.

I purchased a 2005 LaCrosse CXL in July, black on black with sunroof, 6 cd changer, leather interior, on star, etc. I absolutely LOVE it. The best car I've ever driven and owned. I'll never go back to a truck or suv again. Rides quiet and drives smooth. (turns heads) Of course, it doesn't hurt to drive what Tiger drives, if only in commercials.
