5 months torque converter went out, took dealer 3 tries over 6 weeks to find the problem. - Warranty.
4 years Fan Clutch goes out. - $120.
4 years+ 1 day AC evaporator goes out. $500.
4 years+ 3 days tubing between compressor and evaporator sprouts a leak. $100.
5 years 8 months the transmission tears itself apart. - $2100.
6 years 3 months, notice green fluid on the garage floor - BOTH cylinder heads are cracked. Cracks are between cylinders 1 / 3 and 4 / 6. - $2900.
6 years 4 months, truck chews up its 3rd torque converter. - warranty on new transmission.
I understand vehicles have problems especially new engine / transmission models, but if the Dodge customer service was better I wouldn't hate dealing with them so much. You practically have to diagnose the problem for them before they can fix it. Then they can't give you a straight answer on how much it will cost to fix until they have all the pieces on the floor.
Dodge trucks had tranny problems, but it's an easy fix. Just take the wiring harness that runs under the alternator bracket and put it on top and that will fix your problems hunting for gear or converter locking and unlocking.
