New transmission - 10,000 miles.
Numerous electrical problems - repeating 3-4 times
after initial repair.
Transmission reprogrammed - 3 times.
New radio (1) - rebuilt radio prior to replacing.
Tires balanced - 4 times.
Very dissatisfied with this purchase - will be a "lemon law" buy back from GM.
My daughter and I both bought new Pontiac 2000 Montanas.
The comments made here reflect my feelings exactly. I have been saying ever since I bought this vehicle the transmission was going to go before the warranty is up. It's a poor vehicle. I won't be buying another one, turned me off with GM vehicles.
I purchased a Montana in 1999, and as soon as the warranty runs out so does the TRANSMISSION. This vehicle is the poorest made vehicle I have ever had. It has had two radios put in also. Numerous electrical problems also. I can't even trade it in because no one will give you a darn for them.
I have been very disappointed with my Montana. There have been countless problems with the brake system, suspension and oil mechanisms. I will never, ever buy another one!
I bought my 2000 Montana used. I wish I had known about this site sooner! I have had it one month and already had it in the shop for the power door, intake gasket, level ride, alternator, TRAC, etc. I should have kept my 14 year old Dodge Caravan! I never had to have ANY repairs on it and it had 167,000 miles on a 3.0 L engine.
I will never buy a G.M. product again!!!. This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned.
