"Classy, subtle HOT HATCH"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing yet. Car is new.

General comments?

A great hot hatch. Fab build quality, the engine is eager and economical, DSG is fantastic!. A great allround daily driver.

I'v recently purchased a brand new one from an epsom dealer. I thought it was fast until I raced a mgzs180 and ended up eating his dust. I couldnt believe it I paid 36k and was not at all pleased.

DSG mated to 3.2v6 is a great combo, quick enough for the real world & practical too, nice sounding stereo & supportive sports seats. Overall a well made car inside & out. The steering could do with more feel & the ride on 17" alloys is a bit fidgety.

Mine is silver/blk leather done 10000km now. DSG is run in nicely, sometimes fumbles around town (in auto mode). Kick down is good, can't fault this gearbox in dsg mode other than it isn't as fun as a manual!. Fuel consumption is reasonable unless you gun it (same as anything).

Build quality in/out is excellent. Nothing has fallen off or broken. Dealer excellent. Sports suspension ruins the ride though... quattro has very high grip levels... impressive. More GT than hot hatch, but very compelling as an overall/daily package.

I had A3's since 2004. 1st was 2.0 ambition manual - fantastic but had to sell. 2nd ambition DSG 2.0tdi - absolute fantastic especially if driven in sport manual. always recommended car.
