"A fun car that has speed and style LOVE IT!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The only real problem that I have had with the car is the rear brakes. I have had the car back to my local dealer and they still are unsure on how to resolve the binding of the rear brakes. The dealer has replaced the rear discs as well as the pads, but still not resolved the problem.

General comments?

The sensodrive is great fun and really adds to the cheeky character of the car. It is also great when driving down the country lanes with all that gear changing and is toped off brilliantly with the paddles behind the steering wheel.

The auto mode is practical and great when stuck in traffic.

Inside the cabin is funky and best I have seen on the market! It doent have all that boring black and grey its bright and bold. It has lots of space and feels well made. When travelling at high speeds you don't get much road noise either.

The VTR is really quick and you can push the 1.6 engine right through the revs and its surprisingly quick, and far faster then the stats read in the mags.

Head turner! One thing with the C2 is it really gets heads turning and that's probably down to the 16inc alloys and body styling!

I think the report is not telling the truth because I have had my c2 vtr since christmas and it not let me down you might be ragging your car to much and you said o-60 10.3 seconds mine does it in 8.2 and its got no mods yet.

In relation to the post above - if you really believe your C2 VTR can do the 0-60 in 8.2secs, I'll trust you can just beat similar stat cars such as the Audi TT180 then? I think not naive boy! The VTS is that fast, but not the VTR.

My VTR is good I've got a full peco exhaust system on so it sounds tasty now, I've got 1 problem with it though, as your approaching a roundabout or junction and your decelerating the car automatically selects the gear for you and when your ready 2 accelerate away it seems to lose power for a slight second whilst it clicks into gear, this is very frustrating if your trying to quickly dive out at a roundabout, apart from that I love the car and am going to invest in getting the e.c.u chipped and a pipercross viper induction kit, maybe then it will be close to 0-60 in 8 seconds, but as of now I would say its about 10 seconds.

I'm sorry, but the Citroen "flappy paddle" gearbox is nothing short of atrocious. Gear changes take so long, it seems like you have to post a letter to Citroen to ask them to change for you. The eager 1.6 engine is held back by this lump of nonsense too.

Yes the gearchange is a bit slow in auto mode and I find very hesitant.

I have found the quickest way to get through the "slowish" gear-change is to start off with the paddles from first

to second gear and then press the "auto button" put your

foot completely to the floor, this then puts the car into

kick down mode and takes the car almost up to the limiter

before changing gear without any delay what-so-ever. it

tends to work better if you press the "auto" button whilst

driving in second gear with your foot to the floor at approx 4000RPM.

My VTR is a dream the car has not let me down once, it's responsive, comfortable, and most important, it's cheaper to run than most of the other manufactures in its class. This makes the car a good all rounder.

I've had my VTR for over a year now and to begin with I wasn't too happy with it. First thing was the gear change from 2nd to 3rd was very slow, then the ball joint went. After complaining a few times to Citroen these faults were put right and all was fine and have been since. It's a great snazzy little car and reminds me of a mini Civic Type R.

I also believe that a lot of the negative comments about the gear change could just be the driver as I found out my-self. Once you know how to really drive the car it gives great performance.

C2 vtr does 0-60 in 10.8 or is it 11sec! Pathetic really, how slow the car really is. Test drove one and found my 1.6 ford focus was quicker.

I have had test drive of vtr today, glad I did, not at all jerky (as most reviews claim) proving that performance depends on how the car is driven. Found this car to be quicker i.e. pulling away at junctions than the 1.4 furio, so I am going to buy a vtr as soon as I can see the right one (colour, mileage, price etc).

C2 has two different engines 1.6 VTR and 1.6 VTS. First one has 110 hp and the other has 125 hp. The dealer says that the factory promises 0-60mph: VTS 8.3 sec and VTR 10.9 sec.

The engines themselves are exactly the same, but the vts has an up graded ecu.
