1990 Cadillac Seville from North America - Comments

"Great car would love to keep running it for five more years"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The A/C has problems, leather has cracked and torn on both front seats. Speakers do have a slight cracking sound every no and then, need to leave radio on cause on/off button is going bad. Head liner falling down. Driver seat bracket (left side on floor) broke. Handles great in all weather and definitely has the power when I need it.

General comments?

Other than the minor problems above this car has been great to us. I average about 300/miles to tank of gas, always filling up using premium fuel. I travel 40 miles one way to my office. I am looking for replacement front seats at this time. Plan on keeping this car as long as it still runs.

I agree with you, Cadillac Sevilles are great. I have a 1991 Seville with the 4.9L and it is awesome! Runs and drives great. And if I take it easy on the pedal I can get about 320 miles to a tank of gas (I average 22 M.P.G.). I find it comforting knowing all that power is there if I need it. Granted all cars have the faults, but this one just has a special place in my heart, and I will keep her as long as I can.

I luv my 1990 Seville. Excellent on Gas. I average 23-24 mpg's on a 45 mile commute to work. I have same problem with radio cracking & like you I do not use power button to turn on & off. The power for passing & take off is Outstanding. Feels like a lot more than 185 horsepower.

We also have a 1990 Seville it only has 74,000 miles on it and the radio has had problems for years, the speakers sound like they are blown.. I'm just learning there is an amp behind the glove box.. to think that was the problem all these years!

Has anyone had problem with a hose falling of the car. I have a problem it always melts off. After it melts off I hear a lot of air. The car starts to skip like its not getting the air it needs. I have a 1990 cadillac seville.
