1981 Ford Granada L from North America - Comments

"A good low-cost family or work car that's cheap to fix"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Starter, A/C, heater, radio and rust.

General comments?

Bought new, still keep it around as a backup. Has had no major problems and has been far less troublesome over the years than my wife's Hondas and Toyotas.

Comfortable, slow, okay gas mileage, and unfortunately starting to rust.

It shouldn't be that slow, maybe not quick (ie not great acceleration.) But it can go faster than 85 MPH (in 1980 until sometime later in the 80s, there was a law that EVERY new car in US and Canada could not have a speedometer that went over 85MPH/140KPH no matter how fast the car could actually go) on a highway, put the pedal to the pan and the speedometer arm will hit the peg and it will keep going faster:-)
